The eVTOL Volocopter Makes Its First Demonstration at The Paris Air Show 2023
Presenting for the first time at the Paris Air Show (PAS) 2023, the German company Volocopter GmbH is showcasing a vehicle flight for air taxis called Volocity eVTOL.
It is an electric urban airlift vehicle with vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) capability.
Volocopter is the only participant in Urban Air Mobility at this year's PAS aerospace exhibition.
During its five to six minute show, the Volocity demonstration was hushed.
The company calls its silence three times quieter than hospitality chalet air conditioners.
For swap batteries, the company says they can be replaced each flight and charge the batteries in a specially designed 20-foot case.
Scheduled, Volocity commercial flights will be carried out next year.
The aircraft is estimated to have a cruising speed of 90-120 km/h at an altitude of 150-200 m.
Volocopter launched the world's first air taxi airport on 21 October 2019.
The company then demonstrated the use of the Volocity eVTOL around Marina Bay in southern Singapore.
